This is a good economical water filter. Rated to treat 8,000 gallons, the unit sits on the counter and easily connects to most kitchen faucets. A heavy-duty ball valve-style diverter valve replaces the aerator on your faucet. In the regular position, water exits straight through its own aerator. When filtered water is desired, turn on the cold water and simply rotate the valve knob - water is routed through the filter and out its own swivel spout. Spout, diverter valve, and connectors are lead-free chromed brass - NSF-approved. Uses a replaceable cartridge (included). Cartridge has an integrated 5 micron sediment pre-filter pad. (1 micron is 1/25,000 of an inch, a human hair is about 100 microns in diameter). It includes chlorine test tablets to verify when it's time to replace cartridge.
