When motion is detected in a zone, a signal is sent up to 1000 ft (300 ft through walls) to the remote Base Unit which plays one of six user voice-recorded messages identifying the zone. You can record your own messages. Voice Alert System is an excellent plug and play solution for hard to wire areas. To install, simply mount the PIR sensor where you need zone control, plug in the base unit and then record a voice message to identify each zone. Other features include: on/off switch, audio line output connection, adjustable volume control, missed message indicator, missed message playback, one button message check, enable/disable PIR switch, and low battery voice notification. The Sensor/Transmitters can be used indoors and outside. They are designed to withstand weather including rain and snow but are not designed to be submerged in water. When installed outside the Sensor/Transmitters do best when in a covered area and not in direct sunlight. Yes, the Sensor/Transmitter will work in the dark or in full light.
